The Centre for HomeOwnership & Economic Development Corporation is a 501 (C) (3) Not-for-Profit Economic Development Corporation and HUD approved Housing Counseling Agency. Our purpose is to provide housing counseling, homebuyer education, financial wealth building, and economic development. Our mission is to enrich, educate and empower individuals to maximize their core values that will assist in creating homeownership opportunities and aggressively address community development.
Established in 2004, we have changed thousands of lives through guidance and long term support. We offer a Youth and Adult Financial Wealth Building Program that teaches you how to manage, invest, save and budget money wisely.
Pre-Purchase Home Buyers
Pre-purchase counseling covers areas such as the importance of budgeting, the steps to improving your credit, how to choose the right mortgage and how to receive down payment assistance through our homebuyer’s club.
AG Settlement
For borrowers who lost their home to foreclosure between Jan. 1, 2008 and Dec. 31, 2011 and whose loans were serviced by one of the five participating mortgage servicers, may be eligible to receive cash payments. Contact our counseling team for assistance. Video Link
Foreclosure Prevention
Don’t panic if your home is underwater! FREE counseling services to homeowners who are in danger of losing their homes through foreclosure. Talk to one of our certified housing counselors to see 
if you qualify for one of the many programs available through the NC Foreclosure Prevention Fund.
