Mission and History

Our Mission

Is to enrich, empower and invest in the economic growth of the community by providing financial stability, jobs, business development and housing opportunities.

History

The Centre for Homeownership & Economic Development Corporation, Inc (CHOEDC) was organized and created in 2004 to assist individuals with homebuyer education and financial literacy. The main purpose was to educate consumers about homeownership opportunities and how to find available resources such as financial capital  and affordable housing opportunities. To date we have served thousands of individuals and families throughout North Carolina and other areas.

Our support services are a critical component of community development. It allows families and businesses to function as committed and productive stakeholders of the community. Businesses are able thrive and expand in order to ensure additional job opportunities and families are able to help stabilize their neighborhoods in order to ensure a quality environment in which to live and raise a family.
